Bexio error messages

It may happen that your products are not successfully synchronized with Bexio or there are other issues with the interface. In this case, you can check the error messages yourself and resolve them using the following information.



Open the "Error Messages" view.


  • Open the administration interface:
  • Navigate to the menu item "bexio Products."
  • Select the submenu item "Error Messages."
  • Now, check the displayed list to see if there are any error messages and which ones are present.



Error Message

Another product with the same product code is already synced to bexio. The same sku shop product id is: xxx, bexio id is: xxx

  • Problem: The product in the webshop has already been synchronized with Bexio. The affected product has a product code that is already used by another product.
  • Solution: Change the product code of the affected product.



Error Message

The product has been deleted in bexio, the shop product was disabled

  • Problem: The product was deleted in Bexio and is no longer linked to the product in the shop.
  • Solution: Delete the product in the shop as well and create a new one if necessary to ensure it works again.



Error Message

Product title too long, more than 60 characters.

  • Problem: The product title in the webshop contains too many characters. Bexio cannot store product titles with more than 60 characters, which prevents orders with such products from being transmitted via the interface.
  • Solution: Shorten the product title of the affected product to a maximum of 60 characters.



Error Message

The form could not be saved due to the following errors: global: Unexpected extra form field named "document_nr".

  • Problem: The setting for assigning automatic order numbers is configured incorrectly.
  • Solution: Check the settings in the shop as well as in Bexio to ensure they match. The settings must be the same in both the shop and Bexio.
